Bob Alunni’s debut album title, “Thinking of Flight”, implies more
than just a state of mind for this precocious musician. Though he is a
newcomer to the indie music scene, he is being welcomed near and far by musicians and songwriters of every age and genre.
On stage, he evokes a spirit similar to that of Neil Young or Lucinda
Williams—slightly reserved, but bursting underneath with cause. His songs are as versatile as his influences, varying in style from one to the next. Some may include a standard guitar strumming. Others however, involve complicated finger picking and phrasing patterns. Dashed with a broad range of topics, his lyrics always pull his songs together and make keen connections to their respective titles.
